The Minority Business Development Agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce this week
(September 3-5) presents its annual MED-Week Conference at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in
Washington, D.C. As the flagship national event of this federal agency, uniquely
attuned to the concerns of small and medium-range entrepreneurs from the country's
diverse ethnic communities, MED (Minority Enterprise Development) week each year
assembles a stellar array of speakers, from both the public and private sectors, and
presents its much coveted awards at the closing Gala September 5th.

The mission of the Dialogue on Diversity, a nonprofit educational organization, is:
"The social and political advancement of women and men from diverse cultural, ethnic,
and national traditions, fostering increased economic empowerment through promotion
and development of entrepreneurial excellence, technology training, networking, and
education."
An official NGO recognized by the United Nations, the Dialogue offers conferences,
seminars, internships, and annual leadership award recognition as part of its larger
program of entrepreneurship training and international exchange.
